Questions To Ponder About Day And Night.

Here are some Scriptures that should answer any questions you might have concerning Day and Night and When Does The Sabbath Begin and End.

1) What is DAY? – A DAY represents light (Genesis 1:3-5 and Judges 19:25)

Genesis 1:3 – And Elohim (God) said, Let there be light: and there was light. And Elohim (God) saw the light, that it was good: and Elohim (God) divided the light from the darkness. And Elohim (God) called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Judges 19:25 – But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.

2) What is NIGHT – A NIGHT represents Darkness (Genesis1:3-5 and Psalms 104:20) Thou makest darkness and it is night.

Psalms 104:20 – Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.

3) What is Evening? – Exodus 30:8 And when Aaron ligheth the lamps at EVEN (Not the next day but when the Day began to get dark).

Exodus 30:8 – And when Aaron lighteth the lamps at even, he shall burn incense upon it, a perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations.

4) What is Morning? – Judges 16:2 When the day starts.

Judges 16:2 – And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him.

5) What does tomorrow mean? – Exodus 16:22-23 The next morning.

Exodus 16:22 – And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.23 And he said unto them, This is that which The Most High (Lord) hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto The Most High (Lord): bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning .

6) What does the next day mean? – Jonah 4:7 The next morning.

Jonah 4:7 – But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.

7) Is night considered part of the day? – Numbers 11:32 “And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves around the camp.” (Now ask yourself how many days did the people stand up and how many nights did they stand up? The correct answer is two days and one night. However, if a night was part of a day than the answer would be two days and two night.)
