What Does It Mean To Believe In Christ pt.3?

A) Believing in Christ means you must hate your parents and your children if you want to be a follower of him?

Luke 14:25 – And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

B) The Most High said that we must honour our father and our mother.

Exodus 20:12 – Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which The Most High (Lord) thy Savior (God) giveth thee.

Deuteronomy 27:26 – Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

A) Believing in Christ means the earth is doomed because Christ said that Elijah (Elias) has already came back 2,000 years ago in the person of John the Baptist?

Matthew 17:9 – And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

B) The Most High said that Elijah the prophet would only come back in the last days to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the heart of the children back to the fathers lest he smite the earth with a curse.

Malachi 4:5 – Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of The Most High (Lord):6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

A) Believing in Christ means that our slave masters are to be treated like they are Christ and that it is the will of The Most High?

Ephesians:6:5 – Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

Peter 2:18 – Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

B) The Most High said that we are to fear Him and keep His commandments.

Isaiah 41:10 – Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Proverbs 29:25 – The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in The Most High (Lord) shall be safe.

A) Believing in Christ means that we must turn our cheek to our enemies and not resist evil anymore?

Matthew 5:38 – Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

B) The Most High said an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

Leviticus 24:19 – And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;20 Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

Proverbs 8:13 – The fear of The Most High (Lord) is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Psalms 97:10 – Ye that love The Most High (Lord), hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
